ROCHESTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team left Oakland Baseball Field disappointed tonight, April 10, as it dropped a midweek non-conference affair to Oakland University, 10-9, following a walk-off single in the ninth.
A back-and-forth affair, Eastern (7-25-1) fought-off multiple deficits to take the lead twice in the contest. Although it took a one-run lead, 9-8, into the final frame, Eastern was unable to contain the Oakland bats in the ninth, eventually falling, 10-9.
Down 5-0 after two innings, the Eastern offense exploded in the third to tie the game, as all nine hitters stepped to the plate for the Eagles.
