YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – A day that began with love in the air ended with sorrow, as the Eastern Michigan University baseball team fell short in the final game of its three-game series with Central Michigan University, 8-7, today, May 12, at Oestrike Stadium.
While the Eagles did not win the game, they were able to participate in an event that will surely become a lifetime memory, as 14 of the players' mothers threw out the ceremonial first pitch of the game. There were certainly some wild pitches, but each one was thrown to their son for a touching and heartwarming pregame moment.
