MUNCIE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team could not hold on to an early lead, and Ball State University pulled away for an 8-3 defeat Sunday afternoon, May 8, at Ball Diamond. Eastern led 3-1 in the third before being shut out the rest of the way.
EMU (18-27, 9-9 MAC) had some highlights offensively, first from senior Austin Wilson (Valrico, Fla.-Bloomingdale Sr.). He extended his hitting streak to 12 games with a team-leading two hits, including a double. Junior John Montgomery (Anaheim Hills, Calif.-JSerra) had a pair of RBI's in the game, one on a walk and another on a single.
