CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — For the first time this season, the Eastern Michigan University tennis team has the honor of Mid-American Conference singles player of the week, as senior Ani Gogvadze (Tbilisi, Georgia-Khikhani) was named the recipient Wednesday, Feb. 14 for the week ending Feb. 11.
The senior went 2-0 on the weekend in both matches at No. 1, coming away with a 7-6 (10-8), 6-4 victory over Pittsburgh, while also beating Cleveland State 6-3, 6-4.
