KANSAS CITY, Mo. (EMUEagles.com) -- Former offensive lineman Andrew Wylie heads into the season with a Super Bowl ring and a new contract.
Midland's Wylie, a left guard for the Kansas City Chiefs, signed a deal in the offseason.
He didn't play in the 31-20 Super Bowl win Feb. 2 over San Francisco at Miami Gardens, Fla.
Counting that game (he was a healthy scratch), he missed the final five contests overall, nagged by a high ankle sprain. Stefen Wisniewski, with seven years more experience, including being on a Super Bowl winner at Philadelphia in 2017, took Wylie's place as the starter.
