YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — During the 2022-23 academic year, all 19 Eastern Michigan University teams continued the tradition of working closely with the campus and local community totaling 5,694 hours of community service. Additional citizenship accomplishments are listed below.
Citizenship
- Hired Sara Tisdale to not only coach lacrosse but to also work closely with the University's Interim Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to coordinate Eastern Athletics DEI programming, as we continue building a diverse and inclusive environment for all our student-athletes.
- Created an EMU Athletics DEI Committee with numerous student-athletes, coaches, and staff involved.
