BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team had 13 student-athletes earn Scholastic All-America honors for the 2017-18 academic year by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA), the office announced Monday, July 30.
The team ranked seventh out of the 77 participating institutions with a collective grade-point average (GPA) of 3.6683. Additionally, the team ranked ninth in terms of the percentage of the team who received the award (76.47).
The 13 Eagles who earned the honors are recent graduates Megan Marino, Lacey Rubin, Jules Schwartz, and Kendall Valentin, as well as juniors Sydney Audet (Sylvania, Ohio-Sylvania Northview) and Megan Hultgren (Rockford, Ill.
