The East Carolina University women’s golf team headed down south this week to participate in the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Palmer, Puerto Rico. The team finished in sixth place out of 11 teams with a three-day score of 916.
Two Pirates finished in the top-10 individually, as junior Carley Cox (222) finished seventh and sophomore Dorthea Forbrigd (224) finished tied for ninth. The top-10 finish was the third of the season for Cox and the fourth for Forbrigd.
“I’m really proud of the way Carley and Dorthea played this week,” women’s golf head coach Kevin Williams said, according to a press release.
