“Temple is a very good basketball team, I give them a lot of credit for that,” ECU head coach Heather Macy said. “We have got some things we need to work on. I was thrilled with some play from an execution standpoint. We have got to finish plays and tonight we weren’t always doing that.”
Before the season started, the Owls (12-3, 3-0 AAC) were picked to finish second in the AAC behind the Connecticut Huskies and have now won eight games in a row. The Pirates (10-7, 1-3 AAC), who have lost four of their last five, were picked to finish sixth.
