The pressure of replacing a record-setting teammate and being named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list might topple some football players, but East Carolina University’s Jimmy Williams remains unfazed by it.
“I don’t feel any pressure at all,” Williams said. “I’d tell anybody I’m not worried about who came before.”
Last season was personally successful for Williams. Not only is he now being looked at to replace Zay Jones’ production, the fifth-year senior and recreation and park management major was included on the Biletnikoff Award watch list which was released in July. With his name included in the conversation for the award, given to college football’s best receiver, the former walk-on said it’s an opportunity to show everybody what he can do after being slept on for much of his career.
