The No. 7 ranked East Carolina University baseball team fell 13-1 to the University of South Florida in game two last night.
After ECU exploded on USF in game one, winning 15-2, the Bulls turned right around and crushed the Pirates in Clark LeClair Stadium from the very beginning.
The Bulls took advantage of the Pirates in the first inning by piling on three early runs. Junior shortstop Turner Brown had a solo homer in the third inning that would bring them into the game and make the score 3-1.
“Anytime you hit a home run, you want it to kind of spark everybody,” Brown said.
