East Carolina’s track and field team has been working all year to improve and earn a chance at going to nationals, this outdoor season the team has earned a total of 13 athletes who will be going to Lexington, Kentucky to compete at the NCAA regionals.
This is the fourth consecutive year in which the Pirates have had at least 10 qualifiers in the regional section. Along with that, it is the twelfth consecutive year ECU is sending at least one athlete to regionals.
“It’s always gratifying to be in double-digits as far as athletes qualifying for the NCAA first round,” head track and field coach Curt Kraft said.
