“We have had two really good meets, that’s the bottom line,” head coach Curt Kraft said. “We’re starting to create some momentum and I couldn’t be prouder of where we are at after two weeks. I feel really good about the mindsets of the student-athletes. They are competing very well.”
The Pirates had a couple first place finishers that have made their marks as leaders in the American Athletic Conference. Senior Cheyenne Hutchinson was the top collegiate finisher while taking second overall in the 100-meter hurdles, running a time of 13.70 seconds. This time put her as the second fastest time now places her in second in the AAC.
