Thomas WeybrechtDespite a game-tying shot with 0.8 seconds left in regulation, East Carolina University’s men’s basketball team (8-13, 2-8 AAC) dropped its third straight American Athletic Conference game Wednesday night, falling to Tulane University (13-8, 4-5 AAC) 71-69.
The Pirates stuck around early in the game, taking the lead 20-19 after a three-pointer from freshman guard K.J. Davis with 7:36 left in the half. Soon after however, the Green Wave went on a seven-point run to take back the lead 26-20.
The first half ended with Tulane on top 39-28, and saw ECU shoot 10-for-29 from the field and 3-for-11 from three-point range.
