Former East Carolina point guard Antonio Robinson will begin his professional career with the Reading Rockets of the English Basketball League.
Robinson, a Winston-Salem native and two-year starter at ECU after transferring from Louisburg College, inked his deal with Reading in mid-August. Although he only averaged 4.2 points per game for the Pirates last season, the 6-foot-4 Robinson led the American Athletic Conference in assists-to-turnover ratio and was second in steals and seventh in assists per game.
He was invited to a pre-draft workout for the Charlotte Hornets in June.
Reading plays in Division I of the EBL.
