After the first six games of the season for the East Carolina University women’s basketball team, junior forward Raven Johnson has been playing the best basketball of her college career at ECU. The team currently stands at five wins and one loss.
Johnson is scoring 17 points, grabbing six rebounds and dishing out three assists with two steals per game. All while shooting forty-two percent from the field, and thirty-four percent from the three-point line, playing 33 minutes a game, all career-highs and massive jumps from last season.
“I really just attribute it all to coaching and my teammates, and the Lord,” Johnson said about the improvement from her play compared this season to last year.
