Ike Harris has reached the point in his college football career where there are no older players left to look up to.
Even on the East Carolina offensive line, where the 6-foot-7 Harris hopes to be a tower of terror at left tackle, he is among the eldest. Yet, one last time Harris has embraced the idea of a new unit counting its losses and regrouping in the hopes of being even stronger than last season.
“Even in my senior year, it’s still a great, great learning experience,” said Harris, who overcame minor injuries and a major scare two winters ago when he was in a car accident with teammate Terrell Stanley, who also has returned from more extensive injuries.
