The East Carolina University women’s golf team celebrated its fourth-straight victory in the Pirate Collegiate Classic at Greenville Country Club on Tuesday. This was also the first career win for head coach C.C. Buford.
"The first coaching win is emotional," Buford said in a press release. "I think that experiencing wins as a player and as an assistant coach is a little different than getting the first as a coach. This is special because it is with this group.”
The Pirates won the tournament 876 strokes (299-290-287), making it the fourth lowest team score in the 18-year history of the event.
