The East Carolina University men’s basketball team hosted the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University Aggies at home on Friday in the team’s final non-conference game of the season. The win improved the Pirates’ record to 7-5 on the season and 7-2 at home.
The Pirates came out hot against the 4-9 Aggies, outscoring NC A&T 12-2 in the first two minutes of the game behind an early seven points from senior guard Isaac Fleming. The Pirates never let the Aggies get closer than eight points in the half, and went into halftime with a 38-27 lead.
The team maintained a double-digit lead for most of the second half and won by 20 in the end, 77-57.
