Pirates top Cavs again

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Red-hot East Carolina got another strong outing from Jacob Wolfe, who allowed one run over six innings, and Luke Bolka drove in a career-high four runs to help ECU beat No. 4 Virginia 6-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Wolfe (2-0) scattered four hits over his six frames, surrendering one unearned run with a pair of walks and two strikeouts. Nick Durazo came on to notch his first save of the season and fourth of his career after tossing three scoreless innings for the Pirates (6-0).

It marks Virginia’s first non-conference series loss in Coach Brian O’Connor’s 13 seasons.
