B.J. Tyson possibly breaking out of a season-long slump was not enough for East Carolina’s basketball team against Arkansas-Little Rock on Thursday.
Tyson, a sophomore who led the Pirates in scoring last season, had a season-high 12 points on 4-of-7 field goal shooting after entering the game 6-of-34, but the rest of the Pirates shot the ball poorly and Little Rock remained undefeated after a 54-46 victory in the Las Vegas Invitational. ECU (2-3) made just 31.0 percent of its shots from the field and hit only four field goals in the second half en route to its third consecutive loss.
