East Carolina is heading into its holiday break on a high note after recording its most dominant basketball victory of the season.

The Pirates finished the nonconference portion of their schedule with a 98-71 blowout win over South Carolina State in Minges Coliseum on Tuesday led by an offensive attack that was relentless, balanced and accurate.

“I’d like to bottle that shooting up and be able to pour it out when I need it,” said sixth-year ECU coach Jeff Lebo after his team moved to 8-5 overall and 7-0 in Minges this season.

Caleb White scored a game-high 21 points for the Pirates, his third consecutive game with at least 20 points.
