The East Carolina baseball team jumped out to an early lead on Senior Night against Campbell Tuesday evening in a game dominated by offense, winning 14-6.
“I felt that we’ve been pretty good offensively all year,” coach Cliff Godwin said. “You know you have your ups and downs and that’s part of being an offensive coach, but I think we’ve been pretty productive offensively.”
East Carolina’s (28-25, 6-15 American Athletic Conference) early lead came from a two-run blast over the left field wall by Travis Watkins in the bottom of the first inning. Watkins ended up going 3-for-3 at the plate and was walked twice.
