The No. 11 ranked East Carolina University baseball team lost 7-6 to Campbell University on Wednesday night in Buies Creek, North Carolina.
The Pirates (3-1) were coming off their first weekend series of the 2019 season, where they swept at home against Radford University, facing plenty of adversity throughout the weekend. While the Camels (2-2) were coming off three weekend games against three different schools, including No. 12 ranked Coastal Carolina University, they were on a two game losing streak before facing ECU.
Both teams started off struggling to get on base during the first few innings, as they would be scoreless heading into the third.
