After a dominating win against Cincinnati this past weekend, the East Carolina baseball team’s out-of-sync offense led to a 6-0 loss to NC State Wednesday night, for the Pirates’ 20th loss of the season.
ECU (22-20, 2-10 American Athletic Conference) lost control of the game after the first two runs were scored in the second inning when Brett Kinneman and Evan Mendoza scored. In the fourth, the Wolfpack scored another run with a single up the middle by Kinneman, sending Joe Dunand home to extend the lead to 3-0.
The nail was put in the coffin after a two-run home run blasted by Dunand, making the score 5-0.
