Starting running back Chris Hairston turned in the best performance of the night for the Pirates, racking in a career-high 154 yards and four touchdowns, accounting for every ECU score.
Hairston is the first Pirate since Chris Johnson in 2007 to have four rushing scores in the same game. Saturday’s performance resulted in his first multi-touchdown game as he averaged an astonishing 8.
