Fans probably are tired of hearing it, and East Carolina coach Jeff Lebo is almost certainly sick of talking about it, but the fact remains that injuries have become an ongoing storyline this basketball season.
Unfortunately for the Pirates, who play at Memphis today at 2 p.m., that storyline took a darker turn following Tuesday’s home loss against Tulsa. ECU’s two leading scorers — B.J. Tyson and Caleb White — were both injured in the Pirates’ 84-69 loss, and neither is likely to play today.
White, a 6-foot-7 junior averaging 14.1 points per game, suffered a concussion against the Golden Hurricane and is out.
