The East Carolina University’s women’s basketball team’s five-game winning streak was snapped in an overtime loss to the University of Texas at El Paso Sunday afternoon.

"This was a tough game,” head coach Heather Macy said. “We played well for basically two quarters and typically when you do that you don’t get an opportunity to play in overtime.”

Despite taking nine more shots than UTEP in the first half, the Pirates only shot 43 percent from the field (12-28) while the Miners shot a staggering 68.
