If East Carolina University’s men’s cross country team finishing second at the Pirate Invitational and senior runner Bakri Abushouk finishing first overall in the men’s 8k race wasn’t enough, ECU will be happy to check the updated regional rankings that were finalized late Tuesday morning.
For the first time in program history, the men’s cross country team earned its first ever United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Southeast Regional ranking, placing in at No. 14 for this week.
The Pirates came up just one point short from finishing in first place this past weekend during the Pirate Invitational.
