The East Carolina University women’s basketball team took on the University of South Florida last night in a back and forth matchup, resulting in 50-63 loss.
The Pirates (13-13, 4-9 AAC) came out with the first two points of the game made by senior forward Desiree Corbin. ECU and USF (14-12, 5-7 AAC) would exchange baskets until the game was tied at 6-6. USF jumped ahead with a layup and three-pointer, leaving the Pirates down by five.
With as many as 11 turnovers in the first quarter from both teams, the game was at a constant back and forth pace.
