On Saturday, the East Carolina University lacrosse team traveled to Farmville, Virginia to take on Longwood University. Although ECU took charge in the draw circle, it was not able to out score the Lancers, falling in the end 15-8.
ECU (5-6) has lost its past five games as Longwood (3-7) was able to snap its four-game losing streak after facing the Pirates.
The matchup between the two teams started very evenly matched. The first goal came from sophomore midfielder Megan Pallozzi and was unassisted. However, Longwood responded with two of its own goals to take a 2-1 lead early.
