The East Carolina baseball team jumped to an early lead on the road against the University of South Florida, but the Bulls used a three-run seventh inning to rally for an 8-6 victory Friday night.
Dwanya Williams-Sutton helped ECU (24-22, 4-12 American Athletic Conference) build its lead, going 2-for-5 on the night, hitting an RBI-double and a 2-run home run. Senior Charlie Yorgen and Eric Tyler also chipped in, both hitting 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI each.
USF’s (35-10, 10-6 AAC) rally was spearheaded by Tyler Dietrich, who hit 3-for-4 with 3 RBI, including two crucial RBI in the seventh inning.
