The East Carolina baseball team flipped the script on Connecticut Saturday afternoon with a shutout of its own, in the Pirate’s regular season finale.
With great pitching from Kirk Morgan and hot at-bats from Nick Barber, Dusty Baker and Brady Lloyd, the Pirates took the game 3-0 for an American Athletic Conference win.
ECU (29-27, 7-17 AAC) returned to the field in Storrs, Connecticut to face UConn (31-23, 14-10 AAC) in its last game before the AAC baseball tournament. After falling to UConn on Thursday night 6-0 and on Friday 6-4, the Pirates bounced back with a 3-0 victory.
