East Carolina’s track and field team competed in the outdoor American Athletic Conference Championships at the University of Houston Sunday, where the women’s team earned a third place finish with a total of 104.50 points while the men’s team earned fourth place with a total of 109 points.
“It was just an unbelievable weekend,” ECU head coach Curt Kraft said. “It was the most points we had ever scored in this league on both the men’s and women’s side and was also the highest finish on both sides.”
Sophomore Stefano Migliorati was the highest placing Pirate, finishing first in the men’s 800 meter race with a time of 1:49.
