Following both East Carolina University’s men’s and women’s golf teams’ first tournament of the season, each team is looking ahead toward a strong spring season. After a great season debut from the women’s team, and a less than ideal start for the men’s team, expectations are high for each.
The men’s team placed 11th out of 14 teams at the Sea Best Invitational, at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, while the women’s team placed second at the UCF Challenge hosted by the University of Central Florida.
The men’s team took on TPC Sawgrass Monday and Tuesday with sophomore Patrick Stephenson leading the way for the Pirates finishing tied for 16th place with a two day score of 211.
