During East Carolina University’s football weekly press conference with head coach Scottie Montgomery, he challenged the fans to support the team for the Homecoming game against Brigham Young University this Saturday.
“I am asking everybody this homecoming weekend to come out and support the Pirates. Come out and support the university. Come out and serve our colors, purple and gold,” Montgomery said.
The Pirates (1-6, 1-4 AAC) come into the homecoming weekend game after a demoralizing 63-21 loss to the University of Central Florida on national television last Saturday.
BYU has lost the same amount of games as ECU and mirrors a similar record at 1-6, 0-0 AAC.
