Suplexes, body slams and diving elbow drops also intrigue Nzege, a 6-foot-8 junior forward whose love of professional wrestling dates back to the late 1990s.
“It started back in 1998, 1999,” Nzege said before a recent practice as ECU (8-5) prepared for tonight’s 6 o’clock American Athletic Conference opener against Central Florida (6-5) in Minges Coliseum. “My younger cousins in London were watching wrestling back when it was WWF (now WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment).
