After coming off its historic 22-5 season, the East Carolina University men’s tennis team kicked off the 2019 season with two wins against James Madison University, 4-3 and The Citadel, 7-0 on Sunday and Monday.
“It was great getting to play back to back days early in the season, getting used to that and more competition and getting more sets under our belt,” head coach Shawn Heinchon said. “Good thing about playing two days in a row is some guys getting action we didn't see yesterday, and some guys who struggled yesterday being able to work on their games today.
