The first ten minutes for ECU (7-8, 1-3 AAC) was sloppy, as it shot 2-for-11 from the field to start and fell behind 16-4. The Pirates responded in the final 10 minutes of the half with a 27-16 run to bring the score to 32-31, with the Huskies up by one.
