The East Carolina University men’s basketball team fell short in its first conference game of the season against the University of Tulsa Thursday night, despite senior guard B.J. Tyson making history.
In the middle of the match up, Tyson reached the 1,300 career point mark for his career, becoming the fourth player in American Athletic Conference history to do so and the eighth in ECU history. Tyson currently sits at third on the league's all-time scoring list with 1,310 career points scored. He led all Pirate scorers with 17 points while grabbing 10 rebounds for his first career double-double.
