After Thanksgiving break, the East Carolina University men’s basketball team lost to the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Aggies, home to the nation’s leading scorer, Femi Olujobi (29.4 points per game), in Minges Coliseum.
The Pirates had to contain Olujobi, but he still had 13 points in the first half on 4-for-9 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
The Pirates started off slow, trailing 11-3 early in the first half and as much as nine points at one point, 32-23.
“Basketball is a game of runs,” junior guard Isaac Fleming said.
