The East Carolina University Pirates men’s basketball team took on the University of Memphis for the second time this season on Wednesday, falling to them yet again with a score this time of 79-69.
The loss was the fourth in a row for ECU (9-15, 2-10 AAC) who have also lost nine of its last 10 games. Memphis (15-10, 7-5 AAC) on the other hand snapped its three-game losing against the University of Connecticut Sunday with a 78-71 victory at home.
The Pirates and Tigers were tied at 37-37 with 2:08 left in the half until Memphis senior guard Jeremiah Martin knocked down a three-point shot to give the Tigers the lead with five seconds left in the half.
