Despite his team’s 1-2 start, East Carolina head football coach Ruffin McNeill said there is no reason to lose faith so early.
After opening the season with a tight win over Towson at home, the Pirates lost a similarly close affair at Florida before being routed at Navy last week.
But as the next difficult test heads to town this week in the form of 2-1 Virginia Tech, McNeill told fans to keep the faith.
“Believe in your team,” he said at Monday’s weekly news conference in advance of Saturday’s 3:30 p.m. kickoff against the Hokies in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
