East Carolina’s seven-game losing streak is testing coach Heather Macy’s players in many ways.
On the court, the need for a win to break the streak is at the forefront. The next chance for the Pirates (6-8, 0-2 American Athletic Conference) is tonight against Tulane (10-4, 1-1) at 7 p.m. in Minges Coliseum.
Shortly after Saturday’s 61-59 loss to then-No. 20 South Florida in which star senior guard Courtney Williams hit a contested, game-winning shot during the final seconds, Macy referenced that those kind of losses can turn into life lessons if handed properly. The Pirates’ other league defeat came in overtime.
