East Carolina kicker Davis Plowman came into Saturday’s game against Tulsa quietly having an effective season in his first year as a starter, but there was nothing quiet about his performance against the Golden Hurricane in a 30-17 home victory for the Pirates.
Plowman was 3-for-3 on field goals in his best day yet as a Pirate, helping lead the hosts to a pretty routine performance and wire-to-wire win. The Pirate kicker had more points than the ECU offense for most of the game, losing that status when James Summers scored on a 6-yard run with 1:24 remaining.
