In 2013 Williams’ play was cut short due to injury, only allowing him to participate in two games. Now, thanks to the American Athletic Conference, he has been granted a medical hardship waiver, which will make him eligible next season.
Williams has played in 30 games throughout his career with a total of 87 receptions for 1,275 yards and 11 touchdowns, but his best season by far came in 2016.
This past season Williams stood as the second receiver for the most yardage behind Zay Jones, but as Jones graduates Williams will step into the number one spot.
