Courtesy of FacebookBeing a college athlete is typically more challenging than being a regular student, but earning a doctorate degree while competing on the collegiate level is almost unheard of. And cross country transfer Sarah Hamon is doing just that.
Hamon is a senior transfer from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and after graduating in just three years, she retains another year of athletic eligibility. She started her last season of cross country with a top-10 finish at the American Athletic Conference preview.
Hamon said she wants more out of her college experience than to just get a bachelor’s degree.
