After dealing with college baseball players all season, East Carolina Head Coach Cliff Godwin will spend his summer coaching younger ball players. The Pirates’ skipper was named to the 2017 14U National Team Development Program (NTDP) staff, according to a release from USA Baseball Tuesday afternoon.
Joining Godwin on this year’s 14U NTDP staff will be Air Force Academy Head Coach Mike Kazlausky and former USA Baseball 15U National Team assistant coach Jason Maxwell. Godwin will serve as the manager of the NTDP’s Stars Team, while Kazlausky will manage the Stripes Team.
The NTDP’s purpose is to provide young ball players an opportunity to connect with USA Baseball staff to help prepare for national team experiences in the future.
