Free throw shooting hurts ECU against Temple

The East Carolina University men’s basketball team (9-14, 3-9 AAC) traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for a matchup with the Temple University Owls (14-10, 6-6 AAC,) where it fell 90-73 due to too many fouls.

The Pirates entered the game coming off of an upset against the University of Memphis Tigers at home on Saturday. However, the Owls entered on a three-game win streak including an upset against the No. 16 ranked Wichita State University in an overtime thriller.

ECU struggled at the beginning of the game going 1-for-9 from the field and 0-for-7 from deep in the first 4:36 of the ball game.
