It has been almost a decade now since the East Carolina football team came into the 2007 Hawaii Sheraton Bowl the underdog by a small margin.
Chris Johnson and a young Dwayne Harris boosted a high-powered Pirate offense and on the other side of the football, defensive tackles C.J Wilson and Marcus Hands bolstered a bigger than usual defense that often could stuff the best offenses.
Though loaded with eventual National Football League studs, what East Carolina fans didn’t know was, it would be sophomore quarterback Rob Kass that would lead the Pirates down the field one more time to put them in position to kick the game-winning field goal.
